Registration for Summer Hockey is further down the page below the main winter season registration.

The 2026 winter hockey season is underway. SUHC fees include your annual SUSF fee, but not the compulsory HNSW fee (which is paid separately when you register with NWSHA).

The SUHC fees (and our early-bird discounted fees) are:

USYD students on international exchange, who are only available in Semester 1, may select the USYD International Semester 1 option when they register.

* You do not need to pay HNSW fees if you are only doing SUHC Training however you cannot play any games.

To play hockey with Sydney Uni Hockey Club, players need to register with both SUHC and HNSW in two separate processes. You must complete both part A and part B below. Please read the ENTIRE instructions first to understand both elements of the process.

A. To register with SUHC:

  • For returning members from last year you must LOGIN into the club website (via the link at the top of the page) before proceeding with the registration.
  • For new members simply follow the process below and you will register for hockey and create an account with SUHC as part of process.
  • Click on Register from the Home menu.
  • Click on the Register Now with SUHC button below on this Register page
  • Select your membership type, fill in your details, then pay through the secure E-way gateway.
  • Note: the first name you enter is the billing (credit card) name. The second name you enter is the player’s name.
  • The payment system accepts Visa and Mastercard credit cards. The system does not accept debit or AMEX cards.
  • If you are entering in multiple player details (such as registering your family members), repeat the Register Now through to payment cycle for each player separately.

B.  To register with Hockey New South Wales (HNSW):

Our Club is part of North West Sydney Hockey Association (NWSHA). Our players register with HNSW by registering with NWSHA.

    • Complete the details on this page
    • Please ensure that you select Sydney Uni Hockey Club as your club. Click on Next Step
    • Choose your registration type. Most players will be Senior Over 18. Do not select ‘Term 1 registration’. Click on Next step
    • Check your details
    • Enter credit card details and click Confirm registration
  • If you have not registered with HNSW through NWSHA before, click on New member.
    • Enter your details in the fields specified
    • Please ensure that you select Sydney Uni Hockey Club as your club. Click on Next Step
    • Choose your Membership type from the drop-down menu. Most players will be Senior Over 18. Click on Next step
    • Enter your details in the fields specified in the following pages.
    • Enter billing details credit card details and click Confirm Registration

C. Dual registrants:

If you have already registered with another association and already paid your HNSW fees through that association, go to https://www.nwsha.com.au/registration/ and click on Returning member.

  • Enter your National Member ID (you would have received this on your receipt email from your Primary Association/Club registration), Name and Date of Birth
  • Please ensure that you select Sydney Uni Hockey Club as your club wherever requested. Click on Next Step
  • Choose your membership type.  Most players will be Senior over 18. Do not select ‘Term 1 registration’.
  • Check your details and select Sydney University Hockey Club as your club.
  • Enter credit card details and click Confirm Registration

Please note: The system will identify that you are already a HNSW member and deduct the Hockey NSW Registration fee from the final cost.

Summer Hockey

 

Sydney Uni Hockey Club is running an 6 week 7-aside Mixed Summer Comp at the Bruce Pryor Hockey Field, Cumberland.  Here is the key information you need to know. Any questions, please contact Joe at SUHC.SummerComp@gmail.com

Dates:
Starting 10 Jan 2022 and ending 14 Feb 2022
Tuesday Night (only)

Cost:
$300 per team entered. This includes all the competition costs including umpires.

Structure 
  • Round robin style 7 a side mixed comp (Max ten registered players per team)
  • 40 min games (20min halves with 5 min break) on half a hockey field
  • Proposed game times 6:45 pm, 7:30 pm and 8:15 pm
  • We are running a social comp for all players of all standards.


How do I sign up a team for the summer comp?  

Step 1: Organise a team and nominate a team manager
Step 2: Team managers need to email the following to SUHC.SummerComp@gmail.com by COB Friday 6th Jan 2022:
  • Team list – up to ten
  • Team name
  • Shirt colour
  • Alternate shirt colour (to be worn in case of clashes – make sure it’s reasonably different from your main shirt colour)
Step 3: The Summer Comp Committee will:
  • Contact each team manager to pay their comp fee per the process below
  • HNSW registration is now open. See the process above for HSW registration (same as for main season).
Step 4: Managers to ensure that all players have registered before the first game with HNSW for the 2023 season. All players will require HNSW 2023 registration.
Step 5: The Summer Comp Committee will circulate the draw. The draw will clearly indicate cases where there is a clash in shirt colour and which team will have to wear their alternate colour.

HNSW registration: All players in the summer comp must register with HNSW before the first game. Our Club is part of North West Sydney Hockey Association (NWSHA) and our players register with HNSW by registering with NWSHA.  The HNSW registration process for 2023 is open. See further up the web page for specific instructions for HNSW.

For the Manager to register the team with SUHC for Summer Hockey (Only the Manager registers):

  • For returning SUHC members from last year  you must log in to the club website (via the link in the top right-hand corner) before proceeding with the registration.
    • From the Home page, click on the Register button. This brings you back to this screen.
    • Click on the “Register For Summer Hockey” button on this screen. Complete the registration.
  • For new members this year and you are the manager.
    • Select the Summer Hockey option (you don’t need to login first)
    • Fill in your details.
    • Note: the first name you enter is the billing (credit card) name. The second name you enter is the Manager’s name.
    • Then you pay through the secure E-way gateway.
